Surrey Machinist Ordinary

This ordinary bicycle is a Surry Machinists Co “The Invincible” It has some interesting patented technology, hollow rims and a rear fork constructed from the backbone tube. This penny farthing required the front fork bearing mount re soldering into place. The patented rear fork design that incorporated the backbone tube required careful reconstruction and re brazing back together. The cranks and pedal spindles required straightening. It required new screws making to secure the saddle spring. This machine would have been a quality bicycle of its time and it was great to work on and ride.
