Rudge Quadricycle Triplet

When this wonderful veteran Rudge Quadricycle arrived it had a hard life and was fitted with many modern components over years of use and abuse. It became quite an extensive restoration, the frame was bent and had rust holes in some of the tubing, along with many old repairs. Many tubes were replaced and re made, the frame was then coach painted in traditional enamel with lining. The reproduction components made by Richards of England are the: 6x pedals, 6 crank arms, 3x seat posts, 3 RoE pan saddles and springs, 3 saddle sockets, 6 Handles, 3 sets of handlebars with tapered tubing, new bearing races, 4 hollow wheel rims, 2 rear hubs, spokes and miscellaneous fixings machined to Rudge specifications. The chains required restoration, making new pins and links were needed. Everything was carefully polished and nickel plated. Seeing 3 riders powering this on completion was amazing, it moved at some pace.
