Richards of England is our trading name since 2013 manufacturing penny farthing bicycles. The business is run by Christian Richards, Wentworth Cottage, Seaside Road, Aldbrough, HU114RX
Availability and Pricing
All products shown are subject to change and availability. Richards of England reserves the right to update or change any descriptions and prices.
Orders and Deliveries
Once your order is received you should receive a confirmation email. Please allow time for your order to be processed, all products undergo a pre delivery inspection before dispatch via courier so depending on the courier it could take up to 10 days. If you do have any concerns or need an item in time for a specific date please contact us before placing the order.
If the item is out of stock and purchased on back order please contact us for the estimated dispatch date.
Returns, Refunds and Exchanges
How to return an item
In the event of an issue with your purchase please contact us first before returning the item and we can then advise.
Changed your mind
Richards of England offer a 14 day cooling off period on all purchases. This excludes bespoke made items.
The item needs to be in an unused, fit for resale condition for a full refund or exchange. Sadly we can not refund all shipping costs.
Damaged or Faulty Items
Please contact us right away if you have any problems. If the item arrives via the courier and is clearly damaged please point out to the courier on arrival for insurance claim purposes.
We will offer to replace, repair or refund faulty or damaged items upon return to us.
We have taken care to make sure all information listed on the website is up to date and accurate but we do not accept any liability for errors, changes and omissions to product specifications. We reserve the right to update, amend, delete or add content at any time.
Why we value your privacy
Your privacy is valued as much as our own. We are committed to keeping your personal and business information safe. The best way to deal with this is by only collecting the bare minimum information from our customers necessary to provide our service. We will never give anyone access or use you personal information for any purpose other than why you gave it unless legally obliged to do so.
We ask for contact information including your name, email address, and phone number, on our website so that we can reply to your enquiry.
We collect your email address when you sign up for one of our newsletters.
We ask for your account and contact information when you hire or buy something from us.
When you contact us by email or through our website, we collect your name, email address, phone number, a social media username, and the company you work for, if you’ve given us that.
If you sign up for a newsletter, we only collect your email address.
When you buy something from us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and a delivery address.
If you do business with us, we also collect your business name and bank details and keep records of the invoices we send you and the payments you make.
All purchases are processed by Paypal on our E-commerce system, cheque, cash and bank transfers therefore we never have access to your credit card information.
When you contact us by email or through our website, we store your your information in our email account protected by 2 factor authentication. When you buy something, your information is stored in our e-commerce platform, and if we do business, we store your information in our accounts software and in invoice/receipt records.
We will use your information to send you invoices, statements, reminders provide our service and products. We occasionally use your contact information to send you details of our products and services. When we do, you have the option to unsubscribe from these communications and we won’t send them to you again. We might also email or phone you about our products and services, but if you tell us not to, we won’t get in touch again.

When we store information in our own systems, only the people who need it have access. Our management team have access to everything you’ve provided, but individual employees have access to only what they need to do their job.
Where we store your information in third-party services, we restrict access only to people who need it. Where required we store passwords offline in a locked safe, never store passwords on computers, use different, randomly generated password for each service, and never use the same password twice.
The computers we use are protected by a passcode, regularly updated and any sensitive information stored encrypted. These computers ask for authentication whenever they’re started or after 15 minutes of inactivity. Our mobile devices are also protected by a passcode or pattern.
Request to view or delete the information we hold.
Under the current law it is within your rights to request any information we hold in relation to you. You can also request that we remove all information from our systems.
